Excerpt
Excerpt: Species Considered. Table 1 lists 26 borane species that are covered in the present study. Also cited in the table are their enthalpies of formation, molar entropies, and heat capacities at 398.15 K and I bar. The molecular constants used in the statistical mechanics calculations for the thermochemical properties are summarized in Table 2. Reviews of the literature that cover their physical and thermal properties are presented in Sec. 2. We note that 13 additional species have been identified, but one or more essential parameters (enthalpy of formation, vibrational frequencies, or molecular geometry) are unavailable for statistical mechanics calculations.
